GSSM September Open Chess Tournament

Five-round Swiss G/30 for adults and stronger scholastic players. 

Site: new campus of the Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM). No smoking allowed inside building. 

Regular entry fee: $10. 
Special entry fee:  $5 for scholastic players. 

USCF membership required, can join at site. Registration will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. at site, with rounds beginning at 10:20, 11:30, 2:00, 3:10, and 4:20. 

Trophies: First Place, Best Unrated, and Biggest Upset (based on ratings difference).

Directions:

To reach site from I-20, take exit 116 onto US 15 north through Bishopville to Hartsville. Follow Business 15 as Bypass 15 diverges to the right. Then turn right on Carolina Avenue at third stoplight on Business 15 (Wachovia and Bank of America in intersection). Turn right onto Fourth Street, then left onto Railroad Avenue. At next stop sign our campus will be ahead to your right. You may park either in front of the building or behind it. In any case come to the central lobby to register your presence on campus and then follow the signs to the tournament. 

To reach site from I-95 south of Hartsville, take exit 150 onto SC 403 north (toward and through Timmonsville) until you reach US 15 between Hartsville and Bishopville. Proceed north on US 15 and follow previous set of directions.
