Be Encouraged is an e-mail devotional started in 1997 by Brian
Kelley. Brian felt God calling him to meet the needs of some of his
co-workers, who were asking for daily spiritual nourishment that was uplifting,
yet instructive. As a result, the Be Encouraged devotional ministry was
born. The Be Encouraged ministry steadily grew and in 2000 God called
another writer, Michael Bishop, to pen the daily devotional and increase from
each workday to every day but Sunday. If you would like to be added to the
